DögEar Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to both DögEar and DogEar Lite. It explains what information we collect, how it is used, and your choices. DogEar Lite is a standalone app blocker that works entirely on your device and does not use accounts, servers, or the video and recap features described below; for Lite, only the app-blocking, advertising, and notification sections apply.

1. Information We Collect

• Email address, used to create and manage your account and to send verification codes and account emails
• Videos you choose to save within the app, including short video clips stored on our servers to generate your weekly recap
• Profile photos you choose to upload
• Screen time and app-usage data generated on your device through Apple's Family Controls and Screen Time technology, used to power blocking and your weekly recap
• User and device identifiers used for app functionality
• Push notification tokens, used solely to deliver notifications you opt into
• Advertising identifiers, collected by our advertising provider when you choose to view ads (see Section 4)

2. How We Use Information

• Create and manage your DögEar account
• Save, sync, and display videos you choose to store, and compile your weekly recap
• Display and moderate profile photos you upload
• Power app-blocking and screen-time features on your device
• Deliver optional push notifications
• Serve optional ads

3. Where Your Data Is Stored

Account information, saved video clips, and profile photos are stored on our backend servers and cloud storage in order to provide syncing and your weekly recap. Screen Time and app-selection data used for blocking remain on your device. Profile photos are automatically screened for inappropriate content before being made available.

4. Tracking and Advertising

DögEar offers optional ads through Unity Ads (Unity Technologies). When you choose to view an ad, Unity may collect device and advertising identifiers to deliver and measure ads. Unity's practices are described at unity.com/legal/privacy-policy. You can limit ad tracking under iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites for our own purposes, and we do not sell personal data.

5. Third-Party Services

• OneSignal (push notifications)
• Resend (account and verification emails)
• Unity Ads (advertising)
• Amazon Web Services (cloud storage and content moderation)

6. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to provide DögEar's services. You may request account deletion through the app, which removes your account information, saved clips, and profile photos from our servers.

7. Children's Privacy

DögEar is not intended for children under the age of 13.
