AppBlockr Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 24, 2026
The short version: AppBlockr works entirely on your device. It has no accounts, no servers, and no cloud storage. It does not use your email, your location, or push notifications. The only information that leaves your phone is the advertising identifier our ad provider collects when an ad is shown, and only if you allow it.
This Privacy Policy applies to AppBlockr, an app made by Crescent Harbor LLC ("we", "us", "our"), a limited liability company registered in Pennsylvania, United States, operating under the DogearHQ brand.
AppBlockr is a standalone app blocker that runs on your device. It does not use accounts, servers, email, location, videos, profile photos, or push notifications.
1. Information We Collect
- Screen-time and app-usage data generated on your device through Apple's Family Controls and Screen Time technology, used to power app blocking. This data stays on your device and is never sent to us.
- The apps you select to block. This selection is handled by Apple's own app picker and remains on your device.
- Advertising identifiers, collected by our advertising provider when ads are shown (see Section 4).
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, location, or any account information, because AppBlockr does not use accounts.
2. How We Use Information
- Power on-device app blocking and screen-time features.
- Serve and measure ads.
3. Where Your Data Is Stored
AppBlockr does not use accounts, servers, or cloud storage. The screen-time data and app selections used for blocking remain on your device. Nothing AppBlockr processes leaves your device except the advertising identifiers shared with our ad provider when an ad is shown (see Section 4).
4. Tracking and Advertising
AppBlockr shows ads through Unity Ads (Unity Technologies). When an ad is shown, Unity may collect device and advertising identifiers to deliver and measure ads. On Apple devices we ask for your permission through the App Tracking Transparency prompt before any tracking for advertising takes place. If you decline, you will still see ads, but they will be less personalized.
Unity's practices are described at unity.com/legal/privacy-policy. You can also limit ad tracking under iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites for our own purposes, and we do not sell personal data.
5. Third-Party Services
- Unity Ads (advertising)
AppBlockr does not use any other third-party service. It does not connect to our servers, cloud storage, email provider, or push notification provider, because it does not have any.
6. Your Rights and Choices
You can decline ad tracking through the App Tracking Transparency prompt or in your device settings at any time. You can change or remove your blocked-app selections inside the app whenever you like.
Because AppBlockr does not collect or store personal information on our side, there is no account to access, export, or delete. Depending on where you live, including in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and California, you may have additional rights regarding personal information. To exercise any right, or to ask a question about this policy, contact us at the address below. We do not sell your personal information.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
AppBlockr does not collect or retain any personal information on our side. Its screen-time data and app selections live on your device only. Deleting the app removes that on-device data.
8. Children's Privacy
AppBlockr does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age required by local law. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice in the app.
